The HIMG Regional Medical Center is a true "medical mall," a hospital without beds. HIMG is a high-tech, high service medical group housed in a world-class facility. This physical consolidation of quality health care is contrary to what most medical groups have undertaken with the development of strategically located branch office locations. HIMG decided to bring the services to the patient instead of trotting the patients between primary care and specialty office locations.
The HIMG Regional Medical Center was designed with the patient in mind. In addition to the HIMG providers, other premier health care providers lease office space from HIMG – pharmacy, durable medical equipment, Fresenius, Hanger prosthetics, obstetrics & gynecology and pediatrics. The facility has no elevators, stairwells or parking garages – all services are located on one level with plenty of parking just like a large retail shopping mall.
The medical mall even has a community education center, which features continuing education and fitness classes and provides free health care screenings to the community. The medical mall also sports a gourmet coffee and sandwich shop.
HIMG houses its own diagnostic laboratory, imaging center, endoscopy surgery center, chemotherapy center, heart & vascular center, and hearing center.
